Good Web Content is Art
By Stu Leventhal
When we are publishing Web Art, we are seeking stuff that engages the emotions of many people who view it.
Why is mass appeal so important? Because good web content is used as a magnet to lure people in.
We cannot sell and pitch products, services and ideas directly or effectively in most places on the internet because of the negative stigma associated with spamming (subjecting viewers to too many ads).
Therefore, we post and publish artistic content to first create our audience then we promote to them.
Often the goal is to collect memberships (Join Now) or email addresses and text addresses so we can market and sell to our newly acquired audience in other places online and offline at later times.
The Art gets us the audience then the marketing/selling can begin, thru for examples; email campaigns and texting or with invites to new product webinars and sending discount coupons.
The thing is, we need great digitally displayable web art and lots of it, constantly published, to grow a large, specialized audience that will be anxious to receive our special deal offers.
Equally difficult is that we cannot just build any ole fans. We need an audience that is interested in our products and services. This means, the type of art we present has to be liked, used and bought by the people we sell to.
The Web Art has to be matched up to the desired kind of audience and the audience we try to grow has to buy our stuff already or be convincible. After all, we are doing all this to find people to purchase what we sell.
If you sell to senior citizens and retires, you cannot post music videos that teenagers enjoy and expect older adults to be fans. If you post funny photos that woman laugh at then selling products that mostly males buy won’t work out…
The art attracts the kind of audience, the type of fans determines what you can sell to that audience.
IMPORTANT: Your Art must be better quality than the art or content that your competitors supply.
Your goal is to get your audience to tell all their friends about your art/content. You must impress them!
Small audiences grow into large audiences via social sharing and linking.
People only share and link and talk about, great stuff!
